Taylorville Vision Center is locally owned by Eyecare Professionals and is staffed by Doctors of Optometry and Opticians with many years of experience. We feel our knowledge and experience will benefit each individual patient, giving you the best vision and comfort available.  Therefore, we are able to offer one hour service on most plastic prescriptions.
Dr. Moore is currently a member of the American Optometric Association, the Illinois Optometric Association, and has performed research for Bausch and Lomb for the fitting and evaluation of toric soft contact lenses.
Payment is due when services are rendered and eyecare dispensed. A deposit is required when ordering eyewear.
We do not extend credit. By not having to maintain a billing department we can keep our cost lower.
For your convenience, we accept personal checks, VISA and MasterCard and Discover.
 We accept Medicare Assignment.
Our staff will gladly complete any insurance forms for you in our office, however, we will expect payment directly from the patient. We will of course indicate that payment go directly to the patient. This is done because of the wide range of policies covering eyecare and eyewear.
Many eyeglass wearers are interested in trying contact lenses. Contacts provide more natural vision than eyewear and have cosmetic appeal.
When considering contact lenses there are several things to evaluate. You have the choice of traditional soft lenses, gas permeable rigid lenses, extended wear lenses or the disposable lenses. Also, there are contact lenses which enhance or change your eye color. The doctor will make the final decision on which lens type is the best one for you.
In addition to the lenses themselves, other factors must be considered. We offer a three-month program when fitting contact lenses - all necessary visits are covered completely for that time.
Since contact lenses are fitted directly on the eye, it is most important to assure that a proper fit is obtained in order to preserve the health of the eye and achieve clear and comfortable vision.
